Choosing the Installation Location

Location Do’s and Don’ts
- Do: Choose locations with clear sky view for GPS antenna

- Don’t: Install where extreme heat builds up
- Don’t: Block any vehicle components or vents
Wiring Connections
Standard GPS Tracker Wiring
- Red wire (Power+): Connect to constant 12V power source
- Black wire (Ground-): Connect to vehicle chassis ground
- Orange wire (ACC): Connect to ignition accessory wire
- White wire (Relay): For remote engine immobilization (optional)
Important Wiring Tips
- Use proper crimp connectors — never just twist wires
- Add an inline fuse (3A) on the power wire for safety
- Use heat shrink tubing on all connections
- Secure wires with zip ties — no loose cables
- Test all connections with a multimeter before powering on
SIM Card Setup
- Insert an active SIM card with data plan (minimum 100MB/month)
- Disable SIM PIN lock before inserting
- Ensure the SIM has 4G/LTE support
- Use a multi-network SIM for best coverage
Testing After Installation
- Power on and wait 2-3 minutes for GPS fix
- Verify location on the tracking app — should match actual position
- Test ignition detection — turn key on/off and verify on app
- Test engine immobilization relay (if connected)
- Drive a short distance and verify tracking on the map
- Test all alert functions — overspeeding, geofence, SOS
